Sevens (LN) is quite the ride! After diving in and absorbing various reader experiences, I've got a pretty good handle on what makes this series tick. It's a blend of familiar fantasy elements with some unique twists that kept me interested, even when it stumbled a bit.

First Impressions

Initially, I can see why some readers might be hesitant. Several people have pointed out that the beginning can be slow, and the main character, Lyle, starts off as somewhat naive and even frustrating. It's a bit of a "beta MC" situation, as some have bluntly put it. But, and this is a big but, many others (and I agree) urge you to stick with it.
