Initially, I was intrigued by the premise: two cultivators, seemingly mortal enemies, forced together by a mysterious white jade tablet. The early chapters hooked me, and I found myself eager to unravel the secrets surrounding Shen Qingxian and Gu Jianshen. The blend of comedic undertones with the serious cultivation elements created a unique and engaging atmosphere.
What Works Well
What I appreciated most was the character development and the gradual unfolding of the relationship between the MC and ML. Their love story felt organic, and I enjoyed watching them navigate their past lives and current conflicts. The author's exploration of "the truth of the universe" and "one's own faith" added depth to the narrative, elevating it beyond a simple romance.
