This novel has a title that screams "power fantasy," and while it delivers on that front, my experience was a mixed bag. It definitely has some charm, but also some significant drawbacks that ultimately left me feeling a little underwhelmed.

The premise is intriguing: a protagonist, already a legend, navigating life after a divorce with a massive cultivation boost. The idea of a slice-of-life story blended with overpowered cultivation elements is appealing, and I went in hoping for a fun, relaxing read.
What Works Well
The early chapters do a good job of establishing the MC's legendary status. The interactions with his children are genuinely sweet, especially the doting father aspect. I enjoyed the initial novelty of seeing how ordinary situations are handled by someone with immense power. The author does a decent job of making the MC's past adventures feel weighty, even though we only get glimpses of them. The potential love interest, the Snow Empress, seems to have captured the hearts of some readers, and I can see the appeal of that dynamic. The power flexes, where the MC effortlessly deals with those who underestimate him or his family, can be satisfying in the short term.
Areas of Concern
However, the charm wears thin after a while. The plot quickly falls into repetitive patterns. The formula of "someone disrespects MC/family, gets shocked by MC's power, MC does little to nothing" becomes predictable and tiresome. This cycle undermines the sense of progression and makes the story feel stagnant. The ex-wife's motivations and actions are frustratingly inconsistent. Her obsession with power, sacrificing her family for it, feels poorly explained and makes her difficult to sympathize with. The lack of communication between the MC and his ex-wife, despite their long history, strains credibility. The missed opportunities for meaningful conversations and character development become increasingly apparent.
