Description

My Thoughts on MUNDANE HURT
"MUNDANE HURT" is a rollercoaster. Going into it, I knew I was signing up for a drama, but I wasn't prepared for the emotional depths it would plumb. This story, steeped in the gritty reality of school life, gangs, and complex relationships, definitely left a mark. The blend of adult themes, romance, and yaoi elements creates a unique experience that’s both captivating and, at times, deeply unsettling.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the promise of character growth, especially for a protagonist described as "dishonest." The tags hinted at a raw and unflinching portrayal of life, and I wasn't disappointed. The story immediately throws you into the turbulent world of Nishizaki and Nagano, and you quickly realize this isn't your typical fluffy romance.

The character dynamics are a major strength. Nishizaki, despite his flaws (and there are many), is compelling. His journey, especially in the "doujinshi sequel," is a testament to the author's ability to craft nuanced characters. The relationship between Nishizaki and Nagano is the heart of the story. While unconventional, their devotion to each other, even amidst the chaos, is incredibly moving. I found myself rooting for them, even when I questioned their choices.
