"Exclusive Love" promised a sweet and fluffy romance, and while it delivered on that front to a degree, my experience was a bit more complex than I initially anticipated. It's a novel with undeniable charm, but also some notable flaws that kept it from reaching its full potential.

I was immediately drawn in by the premise: a famous actor, Jiang Liushen, falling for the seemingly stoic but secretly charming singer, Xia Xi'ai. The initial interactions were funny and heartwarming, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop from a playful dynamic to something deeper. The author does a good job of establishing their individual personalities and making them feel like real people, even within the somewhat stereotypical setup of the entertainment industry.

I particularly loved Jiang Liushen's character. He's shameless, flirty, and surprisingly down-to-earth despite his fame and wealth. However, I did have some reservations, particularly regarding the power dynamics in the relationship and the portrayal of consent. At times, Jiang Liushen's behavior felt a bit too domineering, and some of the intimate scenes made me uncomfortable. There's a fine line between playful teasing and being pushy, and I felt the novel sometimes crossed that line.
