Description
In the world of Dulmond, there was a mage who had spent his whole life striving for the peak of power. A goal that he finally reached after many centuries, until the point of starting to unite with the stars: a thousand years long process which would normally make one lose his sense of self, but this man, Bernst Almadianos, had managed to retain his ego. However, that came with the price of an unbearable feeling of boredom. Despite his many attempts, he was ultimately never able to make himself feel human again, or feel even anything at all. In his final moments before becoming one with the universe’s constellations, he decided to try one last thing; he created an avatar of himself in a different world and granted it a mind of its own. He then linked a part of his own soul to it so as to share its emotions and experiences, in the hope that he would be able to relive his younger days through the avatar’s eyes. However, he would soon find out that his artificial creation and himself would follow very different paths in life.

My Thoughts on Almadianos Eiyuuden
Almadianos Eiyuuden is a web novel that certainly has a polarizing effect. It's a fantasy story with action, a harem, and some mature themes, but the execution seems to be the sticking point for many readers, myself included.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the premise. An OP protagonist in a fantasy world is a well-trodden path, but the idea of a magic god's alter ego influencing the MC intrigued me. However, the reviews paint a picture of a story that either embraces or stumbles over common tropes, depending on your perspective. Some find it a fun, lighthearted romp, while others find it repetitive and frustrating.
What Works Well
The comedic undertones seem to be a definite plus. Several readers mentioned laughing out loud, and the dynamic between the MC and the "god" in his head provides ample opportunity for humorous situations. The character details, even for villains, were also something that was brought up as a good aspect. I can also see the appeal of a story that doesn't take itself too seriously, offering a break from more complex narratives. For some, the sheer wish-fulfillment aspect of the story is enough to keep them engaged.

The harem aspect also seems to fall into well-worn isekai tropes, with heroines falling for the MC quickly and easily. The political elements are there, but they are not that well-developed and the MC doesn't care for them at all. This leads to the MC just smashing his way through every problem.

Almadianos Eiyuuden appears to be a novel that caters to a specific taste. If you enjoy overpowered protagonists, comedic moments, and don't mind a somewhat predictable plot, you might find it enjoyable. However, if you're looking for deep character development, intricate world-building, and strategic battles, this might not be the story for you. I'd recommend going in with tempered expectations and being prepared for a potentially frustrating, but occasionally amusing, ride.
