My Thoughts on Akuyaku Reijou ni Nanka Narimasen. Watashi wa『Futsuu』no Koushaku Reijou desu!
This web novel promises a lighthearted escape into a world of villainess redemption and fluffy romance. While it delivers on some of those promises, my experience was ultimately mixed, with some glaring issues that I couldn't quite ignore.
First Impressions
Initially, I was charmed by the premise. The idea of a protagonist transmigrating into a three-year-old body with the memories of an adult, determined to avoid a "bad end," had potential. The early chapters were cute and engaging, and I appreciated the explanation of how "Beneficiaries" (transmigrators) exist within this world.
What Works Well
The story shines when it focuses on heartwarming interactions. The familial bonds, particularly with the protagonist's doting older siblings, are definitely a highlight. Some readers found the diabetes-inducing sweetness a perfect cure for a bad day. The premise of avoiding a death route is intriguing and the story does well to get rid of the death flags early.
Areas of Concern
However, the story quickly loses its footing. The protagonist's overpowered nature becomes absurdly illogical. A three-year-old performing office work, contracting with powerful spirits, and effortlessly solving complex problems stretches the bounds of believability to the breaking point. The lack of questioning from other characters only exacerbates the issue. It felt like the author kept adding new ways to make the MC amazing without considering the story's consistency.

Final Verdict
While "Akuyaku Reijou ni Nanka Narimasen" has moments of heartwarming fluff and a unique premise, its flaws are too significant to ignore. The overpowered protagonist, the questionable romance, and the lack of a compelling plot ultimately detract from the overall enjoyment. If you can suspend your disbelief and disregard common sense, you might find some enjoyment here. However, I ultimately found it to be a disappointing read.
