The premise is definitely attention-grabbing. Our protagonist, a seemingly average Otaku, gets betrayed by his childhood sweetheart, who then twists the narrative to paint him as the villain. It's a classic setup for a revenge or redemption story, but this novel takes a slightly different path, throwing in a "slutty" girl and a fake relationship. It's a bit tropey, but the execution could make or break it.
What Works Well
The characters, despite their archetypal nature, have some depth. The MC, despite his initial naivete, shows some backbone, and the "slutty" girl seems to have hidden layers beneath her carefully constructed image. The dynamic between them is what kept me reading.
