First Impressions
This web novel promised a sweet yet dramatic story, and for the most part, it delivered. The premise – a switch in identities, a doting duke, and a planned escape – definitely hooked me in right away. I was ready for some angst, some romance, and a dash of noble intrigue. I found myself quickly invested in the main character's plight and eager to see how she would navigate the tricky situation she'd found herself in.
What Works Well
The core of the story, the dynamic between the protagonist and the duke, is undeniably charming. The "doting" aspect is definitely present, and it's clear the author intended to create a swoon-worthy love interest. I appreciated the European-esque setting, which lent a certain fairy-tale quality to the narrative. The translation was well done, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the story without being distracted by awkward phrasing.
Areas of Concern
