Description
“Having someone who can’t use magic in this academy is pointless,” The protagonist, Luke Surberry, was expelled from the Magic Knight Academy because, despite having magical power, he couldn’t activate it as magic. Furthermore, he was targeted by his uncle, who coveted his title of nobility. He lost a hand and an eye and was thrown into a raging river. The one who saved the near-death Luke was the strongest demon sealed deep in the mountains, Iris. Becoming Iris’s disciple, Luke mastered the unique magic “Analysis” that unravels all phenomena. With “Analysis,” he could find weaknesses in even the most powerful monsters and, under Iris’s guidance, he grew into the strongest magic knight. Luke’s only wish was not to seek revenge on the academy that had branded him as incompetent or his uncle who had tried to make him disappear. His only wish was to reunite with his one and only friend.

The Magic of “Analysis” Sees Through Everything Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator
My Thoughts on The Magic of “Analysis” Sees Through Everything
Overall, "The Magic of 'Analysis' Sees Through Everything" is a mixed bag, and my experience reflects that. The initial premise definitely hooked me, but the execution left something to be desired. I went in hoping for a clever progression system and intricate world-building, but I found myself questioning some of the author's choices as the story unfolded.
First Impressions
The beginning was promising. The concept of an underdog protagonist gaining a unique analytical ability in a magic-filled world is inherently appealing. I was eager to see how Luke would utilize his newfound power to overcome challenges and grow stronger. The academy setting also added a familiar, comfortable backdrop for the story to unfold, and I was looking forward to seeing the dynamics between him and his classmates.
What Works Well
The translation quality is definitely a strong point. It's clear that the translator put in the effort to ensure the story flows smoothly and is easy to understand. This is crucial for any translated work, and it certainly enhanced my reading experience, allowing me to focus on the story itself rather than struggling with awkward phrasing.
Areas of Concern
Unfortunately, the pacing and character development started to become issues for me. The story felt rushed, particularly after Luke becomes Iris's disciple. I was hoping to see a gradual, detailed progression of his training, but instead, there was a noticeable time skip that glossed over much of the learning process. This left me feeling disconnected from Luke's growth and less invested in his abilities.

Final Verdict
"The Magic of 'Analysis' Sees Through Everything" has potential, but it ultimately falls short of its initial promise. While the translation is excellent and the initial concept is intriguing, the rushed pacing and questionable character decisions hold it back. I'd say proceed with caution, and be prepared for some narrative choices that might leave you scratching your head.
