My Thoughts on Stargazer – Assassination Aristocrat and Meteor Poem
"Stargazer – Assassination Aristocrat and Meteor Poem" presents a fascinating blend of arranged marriage romance, dark conspiracies, and assassin intrigue. The premise alone hooked me: a viscount's son, destined for a quiet life, is betrothed to a powerful knight, all while his family harbors a deadly secret. I went in expecting a thrilling ride, and while the journey had its bumps, there's definitely something here worth exploring.
First Impressions
Initially, I was captivated by the world-building and the setup. The idea of a family of royal assassins trying to shield their son from their dark legacy is compelling. The forced marriage trope, while not entirely unique, felt fresh within this context. The serial killer subplot added another layer of suspense, promising a complex and engaging narrative.
What Works Well
The protagonist is a definite highlight. Unlike some of the more passive characters often found in JP novels, he's portrayed as intelligent, capable, and straightforward. This made him instantly more relatable and engaging. I also appreciated the dynamic between him and his arranged wife. Their initial awkwardness gradually evolving into trust felt organic, even if the pacing was a bit rushed at times. The action sequences, when they occurred, were well-written and exciting, adding a nice dose of adrenaline to the story.
Areas of Concern
While the initial plot was promising, I felt that the pacing could be uneven. Some plot points seemed to rush forward, not allowing enough time for proper development. I also found some of the R-18 content to be somewhat jarring and unnecessary, feeling forced into the narrative rather than naturally flowing from it.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Stargazer – Assassination Aristocrat and Meteor Poem" is an intriguing read with a unique premise and a strong protagonist. While the pacing and some of the later plot developments might not appeal to everyone, the well-written action and the engaging relationship between the main characters make it worth checking out. I'd recommend it with a caveat: be aware of the potential triggers and be prepared for a story that might not fully deliver on its initial promise.
