Description
“Let say it! I hate a situation where a childhood friend is defeated!” My childhood friend “Kanzaki Amane” who I used to play with when we were kids. She and I naturally drifted apart just because she was the opposite sex……. When I got to high school, I realized she was beautiful and bright. She has excellent grades, athletics, and has become so high up in the world that she can’t even say that she’s my childhood friend now.Amachi Yumeji watches her from afar, but one day he comes across a mysterious book that can control dreams. At first, I enjoyed dreaming about all kinds of things that I liked, following my desires. As a result of the “dream”, Amane, who was supposed to be estranged from me, began to break into my room through the window………… Are? Isn’t this a dream?

My Thoughts on Soen na Osananajimi to Isekai de wa Kekkon Shite Iru Yume wo Mita ga, Sorekara Osananajimi no Yousu ga Okashii ndaga
This title is certainly a mouthful, isn't it? But beyond the lengthy name, I found a story that's... well, a mixed bag, honestly. It blends genres pretty liberally, and while that can be a strength, it also leads to some unevenness. Overall, I think it has potential, but it might not be for everyone.
First Impressions
Going in, I was expecting a fluffy ecchi rom-com, maybe with a dash of school life shenanigans. And while those elements are definitely present, the story quickly dives into a surprisingly complex plot involving isekai elements, time paradoxes, and even reincarnation. It's a lot to take in, and it definitely shifts the focus away from the lighthearted aspects I initially anticipated.
What Works Well
The core concept is quite intriguing. The blend of a normal high school setting with these bizarre, supernatural occurrences creates an interesting contrast. The dynamic between the two childhood friends is also a high point. Their interactions, while sometimes cringey, offer a much-needed dose of warmth and humor to balance the more serious, plot-heavy sections. I also appreciate that the story isn't afraid to get a little "emo" – it adds a layer of depth to the characters and their motivations.
Areas of Concern
The biggest issue I encountered was the pacing and the overall tone. At times, the story felt rushed, and the ending, in particular, seemed abrupt and unsatisfying. There's a sense that the author had a lot of ideas but didn't quite manage to weave them together seamlessly. Also, the "cringiness" factor is something to consider. While some may find it endearing or easily overlooked, others might find it off-putting, especially if they are not the target audience.

Final Verdict
Soen na Osananajimi to Isekai de wa Kekkon Shite Iru Yume wo Mita ga, Sorekara Osananajimi no Yousu ga Okashii ndaga is an interesting, if flawed, read. If you're looking for a lighthearted rom-com, you might be surprised by the deeper, more complex plot elements. If you are looking for a deep novel, you may find it to be too shallow. However, if you're willing to embrace the story's quirks and genre-bending nature, there's a decent chance you'll find something to enjoy. I'd recommend giving it a try if the summary piques your interest, but be prepared for a somewhat uneven experience. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.
