First Impressions
The premise is definitely intriguing. Our protagonist, haunted by a family history of smoke-related deaths, gets reincarnated into another world as...something mysterious. The "Smoke Ruler" skill immediately piqued my interest. I'm always a sucker for evolution-type novels, and the idea of a monster MC clawing their way to the top is appealing. However, I quickly realized that this novel might not live up to its potential.
What Works Well
The initial hook is strong, and the concept of the "Smoke Ruler" skill offers unique possibilities. I can see the appeal for fans of isekai and evolution stories. The idea of a protagonist overcoming their past trauma in a new world with newfound powers is inherently compelling. I also appreciated the potential for unique battles and strategic skill usage that the "Smoke Ruler" skill could provide.
