My Thoughts on Planet
"Planet" is a story that definitely left an impression on me, and one I'm still processing. It's a raw and unflinching look at the life of Mura, a protagonist who's far from the typical web novel hero. This isn't a power fantasy; it's a grounded, sometimes brutal, exploration of survival and connection in the face of hardship.
First Impressions
From the very beginning, I was struck by the author's commitment to portraying Mura's reality. He's not handsome, rich, or particularly intelligent – he's just trying to get by. This immediately sets "Planet" apart from many other stories in the genre, and I found myself drawn into his world of daily struggles. The tags alone – cohabitation, disabilities, discrimination, and a naive protagonist – hinted at a story that wouldn't shy away from difficult topics.
What Works Well
The strength of "Planet" lies in its unflinching portrayal of Mura's life. The author excels at immersing the reader in his experiences, making you feel the weight of his poverty and the constant threat of exploitation. I appreciated the inclusion of side characters who offer Mura moments of kindness and belonging. These relationships, however fleeting, provide a glimmer of hope in an otherwise harsh landscape. The story excels in portraying the desperate measures people take when pushed to the margins, and the fragile connections that can form even in the darkest of circumstances.
Areas of Concern
While I appreciated the realism, I also found some aspects of the story unsettling, particularly regarding the male lead. I struggled to connect with him, and I felt the ending could have been handled with more sensitivity, considering the themes explored. The presence of potentially triggering content, like r*pe, also warrants caution for sensitive readers.

Final Verdict
"Planet" is a challenging but ultimately worthwhile read. It's not a lighthearted escape, but a raw and honest portrayal of a life on the margins. While I had reservations about certain plot points and the male lead, I can't deny the power of the story and its unflinching gaze at the struggles of its protagonist. If you're looking for a novel that will make you think and feel deeply, "Planet" is worth considering, but be prepared for a potentially difficult journey.
