Omae wo Onii-chan ni Shite Yarouka!? Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator
My Thoughts on Omae wo Onii-chan ni Shite Yarouka!?
Okay, so I dove into "Omae wo Onii-chan ni Shite Yarouka!?" with a healthy dose of skepticism, given the title. But I have to admit, I came out pleasantly surprised. It's not quite what I expected, and in a good way.
First Impressions
My initial thought was "Oh great, another siscon story." But digging a little deeper, I realized that the premise is actually pretty unique. It's about a guy who has to choose which of his potential little sisters will actually become his little sister, inheriting a significant portion of the family wealth in the process. The story revolves around his journey to understand each of them better, leading to some interesting family dynamics.
What Works Well
The core strength of this novel lies in its characters and how they interact. It's refreshing to see a story where the focus isn't on romantic relationships between siblings, but rather on building genuine familial bonds. There's a certain charm in watching the characters navigate their feelings and learn to get along as a family. The occasional comedy injected into the plot is well-timed and adds to the overall enjoyment. I also appreciated that the story has a defined ending, which is always a plus in the world of web novels.
Areas of Concern
While I generally enjoyed the story, there were a few points where I felt it dragged a bit. Some plot points felt unnecessary, and I found myself wanting the story to move along a little faster. Also, some of the characters' actions were frustrating, and I personally found their forgiveness a little too easy.

Final Verdict
Despite its flaws, "Omae wo Onii-chan ni Shite Yarouka!?" is a worthwhile read. It's a refreshing take on the "sibling" genre, with a focus on family dynamics and character development. If you're looking for a lighthearted story with a unique premise and don't mind a few frustrating moments, I'd say give it a shot. I'd give it a solid 4/5. It's not groundbreaking, but it's definitely entertaining.
