Description
At the age of 18, everyone is given a skill. The son of the Sword Saint – Arios Macba was expected to be given the strongest skill. However, the skill given to him was “Cheat Code Manipulation”, which was thought to be a miss skill. On the other hand, an orphaned child who was present at the scene developed the skill of the “Silver Sword Saint”, and Arios’ father tried to take him in. In fact, even when Arios activated his skill, it could only increase his attack power. Because of this, he is banished from his family home… but with each battle, he learns too many powers one after the other, and he literally learns to use all kinds of cheats. What’s more, he has become friends with the Second Princess…?

My Thoughts on Oi, Hazure Sukiru da to Omowareteita “Chiito Koodo Soosa” ga Bakemono Sugiran da ga
First Impressions
Okay, so I dove into "Oi, Hazure Sukiru da to Omowareteita “Chiito Koodo Soosa” ga Bakemono Sugiran da ga" knowing it was another entry in the "banished protagonist discovers he's OP" genre. I wasn't expecting groundbreaking originality, and honestly, the initial chapters didn't exactly shatter my expectations. The setup is pretty familiar: our MC gets a seemingly useless skill, is booted from his family, and then bam, he starts unlocking its true potential.
What Works Well
Despite the familiar premise, there are some elements I found engaging. The "Cheat Code Manipulation" skill itself has promise. The idea that it grows and unlocks new abilities keeps things interesting. I also appreciated the introduction of the second princess early on; her loyalty to the MC from the start offers a refreshing twist. The supporting characters in the village he travels to also seem well-rounded and more interesting than the family he left behind.
Areas of Concern
My biggest hesitation stems from the MC's characterization. He comes across as frustratingly dense, especially when it comes to understanding his own powers. It can be a bit much to stomach his constant self-deprecation, even after he's clearly demonstrated his strength. Also, I'm a bit worried about the potential for a generic harem situation. While not fully developed yet, some hints suggest the female characters might fall for him a bit too easily based on his power alone, which isn't my favorite trope.

Final Verdict
"Oi, Hazure Sukiru da to Omowareteita “Chiito Koodo Soosa” ga Bakemono Sugiran da ga" is a decent read if you're in the mood for a familiar power fantasy. While it doesn't reinvent the wheel, the cheat skill itself is interesting, and the supporting cast has potential. However, the MC's denseness and the risk of a generic harem might be turn-offs for some. I'm willing to see where it goes, but it needs to address these issues to truly stand out.
