My Thoughts on Marriage of an Omega
"Marriage of an Omega" is a quick dive into the omegaverse, and while I enjoyed parts of it, it definitely left me with mixed feelings. It's a completed story, so you can binge it, but be prepared for a bit of a bumpy ride.
First Impressions
The premise definitely grabbed my attention. An omega from a noble family, forced to hide as a beta, meets his fated alpha, who just so happens to be a humble school janitor. I was definitely intrigued by the subversion of typical alpha/omega tropes, and I was eager to see how their relationship would develop.
What Works Well
The initial setup is strong, and I appreciated the author's attempt to explore the challenges faced by omegas in this society. The concept of fated mates is central, and if you're a fan of that trope, you might find this aspect appealing. The male lead is respectful and considerate, a refreshing change from the often overbearing alphas you see in omegaverse stories. I also found that the MC was likeable and kindhearted.
Areas of Concern
However, the story felt rushed. The romance hinges heavily on the fated-mates concept, and I didn't really feel a deep emotional connection between the leads. The plot felt somewhat disjointed. The pacing was off, with some events feeling crammed in while others dragged on unnecessarily. The MC also seems to be ignorant of the world despite being book smart and from a prestigious family.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Marriage of an Omega" is an okay read if you're looking for a short, simple omegaverse story with a focus on fated love. However, be prepared for some underdeveloped plot points, a rushed romance, and a few questionable character choices. It's not the best omegaverse novel I've read, but it's not the worst either. Approach it with moderate expectations, and you might find some enjoyment in its sweeter moments.
