This title is quite a mouthful, but after diving in, I can see why it's so descriptive. "Living in Another World by Commissioning" is a slice-of-life fantasy focusing on a reincarnated protagonist who uses his modern knowledge and healing abilities to build a unique business in a stratified world. While it has its charms, it also faces some challenges in execution.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the promise of a relaxing and fluffy story. The premise of a healing mage creating a "manpower agency" sounded intriguing. However, I soon found that the plot is fairly loose, almost episodic, which can be both a blessing and a curse, depending on your preference.
What Works Well
The world-building is definitely a high point. The stark social hierarchy, where nobles hold immense power over commoners, creates a compelling backdrop for the MC's actions. I appreciated how the story explores the nuances of this system, particularly how the protagonist, despite his growing influence, remains an outsider due to his commoner origins.
