Description

I dove into "In Another World With Cats..." expecting a fluffy, cat-centric adventure, and while there is a cat (at least initially), the core of the story is much more about unraveling the mysteries of lost magical technology.

The initial setup is a bit slow, I'll admit. It takes a while to establish the world and the MC's situation, but once it gets going, I found myself hooked by the premise. A modern engineer using his programming knowledge to decipher and improve ancient magic systems? Count me in!
What Works Well
The blend of fantasy and technological problem-solving is really well done. It's fascinating to see the MC apply his modern understanding to a world that relies on magic they barely comprehend. The dialogue can feel overly formal and stiff, making conversations sound like business correspondence rather than natural interactions. I also felt the story could have done a better job explaining why no one else had managed to improve the magic system before the MC arrived.
