First Impressions

Initially, I was drawn in by the premise of a reborn MC seeking revenge and building wealth. The early chapters promised a tale of face-slapping and business acumen, with a system to aid our protagonist, Yun Zheng, along the way. There was also the mystery of the ML's past and their connection in their past life.

What Works Well

I particularly enjoyed the dynamic between Yun Zheng and Gu Yan, the male lead. Their relationship is a slow burn, filled with fluff and sweetness, which balances out the heavier themes of revenge and past trauma. Yun Zheng is the kind of MC you root for – kind, mature, and not afraid to stand up for himself, while Gu Yan, with his dual personalities, adds an interesting layer to their relationship. I also liked that the author gave Yun Zheng a character that had both strength and weakness.
