Description
In a certain League of Legends (LOL) match, a streamer well-known for infuriating people, was providing commentary and live streaming. Streamer: This support, so tr*sh. Streamer: If this jungler was my teammate, I’d already be idling at the fountain, playing piano for him. Streamer: I suggest this player go back and practice last-hitting properly. Audience: Stop talking crap! If you’re so good, why don’t you do it? Streamer: Your daddy here can actually do it. Audience: Yeah, sure. If you’re that good, I’ll chop my head off and let you kick it around. — A few months later, the veteran LPL team TTC announced their new mid-laner. A boy with flamboyant blue hair appeared in front of the audience. His Zed gameplay was so astonishing that whoever he faced ended up dead. Female fans teetered on the edge of betrayal, tempted to switch their loyalties. During a post-match MVP interview, everyone held their breath, eagerly watching this talented newcomer. The young man took the microphone, smiled, and asked, “To the water friend with the StarTV username ‘Suburb King 101,’ my team’s address is on the official website, when will you be mailing your head over?” — After one regular-season game, the staff went backstage to fetch the team for an interview, only to stumble upon TTC’s new mid-laner and their jungler standing in a corner. TTC’s star jungler, Road, was pressing the team’s new mid-laner, Soft, against the wall. Leaning in close, he asked in a low voice: “You know what to say during the interview, right?” The fiery mid-laner, who had cemented his tr*sh-talker reputation in his very first game, was currently blushing furiously. “I know. I won’t tr*sh-talk… I swear I won’t.”

My Thoughts on I Can Do It
"I Can Do It" is a delightful dive into the world of e-sports, sprinkled with humor, a dash of romance, and a whole lot of heart. As someone who enjoys a good slice-of-life story, this one definitely hit the spot.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the premise of a streamer turned pro gamer. The main character, Jian Rong (Soft), is instantly likable – a feisty, trash-talking genius who's secretly a softie, especially around the ML, Lu Boyuan (Road). The slow-burn romance was also a big draw for me, and I was eager to see how it would unfold.
What Works Well
The characters are definitely the highlight. Jian Rong's dynamic with his teammates, especially Xiao Bai, is hilarious. And let's not forget his "dad fans," who are basically professional trolls with a soft spot for their "dumbass son." The author does a great job of balancing the gaming aspects with character development, making it enjoyable even if you're not a League of Legends expert like myself. I found myself laughing out loud in almost every chapter, and Jian Rong's antics are endlessly entertaining. The romance, while slow, feels natural and sweet. I appreciated how Lu Boyuan was portrayed as gentle and supportive, creating a healthy and endearing relationship with Jian Rong. The side characters were also well-developed.
Areas of Concern
While I thoroughly enjoyed the novel, I can see where some readers might have issues. A few reviewers pointed out that the last arc might contain some xenophobic elements, particularly in the depiction of a Korean team. Some found the portrayal to be exaggerated and unnecessary, detracting from their overall enjoyment. I can also see where some readers might want more passionate romance. While the slow burn was cute, it did lack some oomph, and I wished there was more substance to it.

Final Verdict
Despite a few minor flaws, "I Can Do It" is a genuinely enjoyable read. The humor is on point, the characters are lovable, and the e-sports elements are exciting without being overwhelming. If you're looking for a lighthearted and funny novel with a sweet romance and a unique cast of characters, I highly recommend giving this one a try. Just be aware of the potential issues in the last arc and decide for yourself if it impacts your enjoyment. Overall, I give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars.
