"I Am Overlord" is a completed xuanhuan web novel that I decided to dive into, knowing full well it was going to be a wild ride. And a ride it was. It's got all the trappings of the genre: action, adventure, a touch of comedy, and yes, even a harem. It's definitely a novel that knows what it is and leans into it.

First Impressions

Initially, I was hooked. The story starts strong, with a good pace and an MC who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. There's a certain charm in watching a protagonist who's both lucky and powerful, especially when he's using that power to settle scores. If you're into face-slapping, treasure-snatching, and sending arrogant antagonists to the afterlife, there's a lot to enjoy here.
