This web novel, Hero Blessed by the Demon King, the Largest Human Traitor!?, definitely took me on a bit of a rollercoaster. With its blend of action, adventure, comedy, and more than a few other genres thrown in, it's a story that's hard to pin down.
First Impressions
Initially, I was intrigued by the premise: a hero blessed by the Demon King? It screamed subverted expectations and promised a protagonist who wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. The early chapters seemed to deliver on that, with a cunning MC and some intriguing schemes. However, I quickly realized that the title and initial setup are somewhat misleading.
What Works Well
I appreciated the unique take on the isekai genre. The MC's calculative nature and willingness to plan ahead were definitely a plus. I found myself enjoying the world-building aspects, especially as the story progressed beyond the initial "defeat the heroes" plot.
