What Works Well

I also really enjoyed that the characters had their own separate story. They work on their own and help each other. It's a really well-written character with their own area in the story.
I also have to give credit to the author's attention to detail, particularly when it comes to the forensic aspects of the story. It's clear they did their research, and the inclusion of forensic details adds a layer of authenticity that enhances the reading experience. I found myself learning a thing or two about forensics along the way!
Areas of Concern
My main critique would be the timing of the antagonist's introduction. As some have pointed out, the story would have benefited from introducing the real culprit earlier on. It felt like they appeared too late in the game, which lessened the impact of the mystery's resolution. Introducing the character earlier would have allowed readers to guess and theorize, which would have made it much more interesting.
