My Thoughts on When The Flowers Falls, I’ll See You Again
"When The Flowers Falls, I’ll See You Again" promised a sweeping Xianxia romance, and while it delivered on some aspects of the genre, I found myself ultimately disappointed. The premise, involving reincarnation, gods, and a love that transcends lifetimes, had me initially hooked. Unfortunately, the execution left much to be desired.
First Impressions
I was drawn in by the ancient times setting and the promise of a deep, emotional story. The initial chapters hinted at a complex relationship between the protagonists, filled with longing and sacrifice. However, as the story progressed, my enthusiasm waned.
What Works Well
The world-building is decent, painting a vivid picture of the heavenly realms and mortal world. The concept of the female protagonist sacrificing her immortality to be with her love in the cycle of reincarnation is compelling and provides a strong emotional core to the story. The initial premise of the ML making sacrifices for the FL to have a better life is also interesting.
Areas of Concern
My biggest issue lies with the portrayal of the male lead and the plot developments that followed. The dynamic between the leads, especially in later arcs, felt increasingly problematic. The power imbalance and manipulation became difficult to ignore, and the constant cycle of misunderstandings grew tiresome.

Final Verdict
While "When The Flowers Falls, I’ll See You Again" has some redeeming qualities, the problematic elements ultimately overshadow them. The beautiful world and intriguing premise are not enough to compensate for the questionable relationship dynamics and plot choices. I cannot recommend this novel.
