The early arcs had me genuinely spooked, and I appreciated the focus on the mysteries rather than immediately diving into romance. The dynamic between the characters – the seemingly normal MC, his goofy friend, the intriguing love interest, and the snobbish cat – felt fresh and had me eager to see where the story would go.

What Works Well

The world-building is definitely a strong point. The author weaves in lesser-known aspects of Chinese beliefs and traditions, adding a layer of depth and intrigue to the supernatural cases.
