Description

This title is a mouthful, but after diving in, I found "The Wicked Princess and 12 Eyes" to be a surprisingly fun read. It's a twist on the typical villainess reincarnation story, and while it has some familiar elements, it definitely carves out its own niche.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the promise of a proactive, "evil" female protagonist. I'm always up for stories that subvert expectations, and the premise of a wicked princess getting a second chance to be even more wicked definitely piqued my interest. The cover art is also quite striking, which never hurts!
What Works Well
One of the strongest aspects of this novel is the main character herself. She's not your typical damsel in distress, nor is she a misunderstood saint masquerading as a villain.
