The early chapters felt a tad fast-paced, particularly with the family's quick acceptance of her enhanced abilities, but the author's explanation involving divine guidance made it somewhat believable within the story's context.
What Works Well
I found myself genuinely enjoying the intricate details of tea culture woven throughout the narrative. The author clearly did their research, and it was fascinating to learn about the different types of tea, the art of tea ceremonies, and the business strategies involved in the tea trade. I especially appreciated the protagonist's focus on innovation and her drive to promote loose-leaf tea in a society accustomed to spiced blends.
Ye Yaming herself is a compelling character. She's smart, resourceful, and deeply cares for her family, although her affection isn't always outwardly expressed.
