There's a significant time skip, and the introduction of unnecessary drama, particularly a prolonged separation, felt jarring and out of place. I, like many readers, found the "CEO chasing the wife" trope tired and unnecessary. It detracted from the established dynamic between the leads and introduced conflict that felt forced. Also, the ending felt a bit incomplete, leaving me with unanswered questions.
