First Impressions
The initial setup is fairly standard: strangers, a misunderstanding, and then BAM – classmates! The pheromone compatibility leading to a temporary marking felt rushed, and I can see why some readers might find the initial connection a bit inorganic. It's a common trope, and while the author hints at deeper connections beyond mere pheromones, it does lean heavily on the "fated mates" idea early on.
What Works Well
Despite my reservations about the beginning, the dynamic between the MC and ML did grow on me. The slow burn, as the ML genuinely tries to understand and care for the MC, is endearing.
