The story is set in the imperial capital city of Vesta which is under occupation. Ozma, a wandering former court magician who died trying to save a young girl, is reincarnated 300 years later in this world. Ozma wakes up in a dark forest and is guided by a female knight and maid who claim to have come to welcome him. Ozma is taken to meet the Queen without understanding what is happening. The Queen says to him: “Great Hero Ozma, this country was made by my ancestors for you. Every bit of this country, from every piece of soil to every blade of grass and tree exists solely for you. Bearing your child is the deepest wish of the royal family. Come now, please give your seed to my daughters!” For some reason, 300 years later, Ozma has become a legendary hero in this world.
