The first few chapters presented a compelling setup: Fengfeng, our protagonist, finds herself in a precarious situation within the cold palace, determined to heal her body and return to her own time. The early interactions and the mystery surrounding her new circumstances were enough to keep me invested.
What Works Well
The character of Jia Ye stood out to me. His gentle and caring nature provided a welcome contrast to the Emperor's more... forceful personality. I appreciated the author's exploration of Fengfeng's internal struggles as she navigated her new life and the growing feelings she developed. The emotional depth of the story is undeniable, and I found myself genuinely invested in Fengfeng's journey.
