Description
One day, a strange girl suddenly came to the place of the Duke’s daughter, Bridget Newton, and said something weird like, “Why didn’t you come to bully me!?” Is this the beginning of love? A love comedy? No, or is it just a simple comedy? It’s that kind of story

My Thoughts on The Duke’s Daughter Was Puzzled
"The Duke’s Daughter Was Puzzled" is a delightful little romp through otome game tropes, and I found myself chuckling throughout. As a quick read, it certainly delivers on its promise of amusement.
First Impressions
I was immediately drawn in by the premise – a reincarnated villainess who's surprisingly oblivious to the romantic machinations around her. The story dives right in, and I appreciated that it didn't waste time with unnecessary exposition. It felt like a breath of fresh air compared to some of the more drawn-out otome stories I've read.
What Works Well
The humor is definitely a standout. I found the protagonist's dense nature to be genuinely funny, not frustrating. The interactions between her, the prince, and the "heroine" are well-written and create a lot of comedic tension. Many found the side characters to be well-developed, especially for a oneshot. The awkward heroine and the prince's…unique…attraction to the protagonist add layers of amusement to the story. I particularly enjoyed the refreshing take on the reincarnated villainess trope, where the protagonist's lack of genre awareness leads to unexpected and hilarious situations. It's a clever twist that keeps the story engaging.
Areas of Concern
Honestly, it's hard to find major faults in such a short and lighthearted story. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that the ending felt a bit abrupt. I was left wanting more, and it felt like there was potential for further development of the characters and their relationships.

Final Verdict
Overall, "The Duke’s Daughter Was Puzzled" is a charming and entertaining read. If you're looking for a quick dose of humor and a fresh take on the otome game genre, I highly recommend giving it a try. I certainly hope the author considers expanding this into a longer series, as I'm eager to see where these characters go next!
