Description

"Sword, Tiara and High Heels" immediately grabbed my attention with its intriguing blend of genres. Action, fantasy, gender bender, and yuri elements promised a unique reading experience. The premise of a reincarnation story set in a European-inspired world, featuring an overpowered protagonist grappling with their past while navigating a new identity, sounded like a recipe for success. I was eager to dive in and see how the author would weave these elements together.
What Works Well
In the beginning, the story did have its charms. I found the setting quite immersive, and the author's portrayal of Orthus'/Seretina's struggle to reclaim their swordsmanship felt believable and engaging. The slow-burn yuri undertones were also a pleasant addition, hinting at a potentially heartwarming romance between the female characters. There was a definite sense of anticipation as the story progressed, with various plot threads and character arcs being carefully built up.
Areas of Concern
Unfortunately, my initial enthusiasm waned significantly as I approached the ending. The pacing felt rushed, and several major plot points were left unresolved. The motivations of the primary antagonist remained unclear, and numerous character arcs were abruptly cut short. It felt as though the author had lost interest in the story, leading to a disappointing and unsatisfying conclusion.
