The initial chapters were definitely the strongest. The premise is intriguing: a modern medical student transmigrates into the body of a princess consort married to a paralyzed prince. The early struggles for survival, fueled by the female lead's (FL) quick wits and a helpful medical system, were genuinely captivating. I found myself hooked, eager to see how she would outmaneuver their enemies with limited resources.
What Works Well
The FL's pragmatism is a definite plus. She's calm, collected, and determined to take control of her destiny, which is refreshing. I also appreciated the slow-burn romance, with the male lead (ML) falling first. Their relationship is built on acts of service and mutual respect, rather than excessive fluff, which suited the overall tone of the story. The translation is also top-notch, making for a smooth and enjoyable reading experience.
Areas of Concern
The story lost some of its luster after the ML's recovery. With both leads becoming increasingly powerful, the plot seemed to lose some of its tension. The antagonists felt less intelligent, and the FL's medical skills weren't as crucial, which was disappointing. Also, the age gap between the leads raised some concerns for me, especially considering the FL's age at the start of the marriage.
