My Thoughts on Mrs. Legend

"Mrs. Legend," with its blend of drama, mecha, sci-fi, and yaoi, definitely took me on a ride! This novel is complete, so I was able to binge-read the whole thing, and I have some thoughts.

First Impressions

The premise is definitely intriguing: Mei Legend, a young master framed as a deserter, faces public hatred and a forced divorce, only to be unexpectedly married to a man he just met. I was immediately curious about the "legend" behind the name and how he'd reclaim his honor. The early chapters do a good job of setting the stage for the complex journey ahead.

What Works Well

The dynamic between Mei Legend and his husband is a major draw. I appreciated the realistic portrayal of their developing trust and communication. While I sometimes wanted to shake them and tell them to be more open, their gradual growth felt earned. Also, the author's integration of their son, Mei Danger(ous), into the story is a highlight. He's an absolute scene-stealer, and I loved his mischievousness. The plot itself is thrilling, and the pacing is nicely balanced, keeping me engaged throughout. Plus, the side couples add another layer of enjoyment to the story.

Areas of Concern

While I enjoyed the overall story, I did feel that the son was somewhat sidelined later in the novel. I would have loved to see him play a more significant role throughout the entire narrative.
