The initial chapters hooked me with their lighthearted, almost comedic, feel. It gave me the impression of a fluffy romance, but as I delved deeper, the story revealed a much more serious core. This tonal shift wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it did catch me off guard. Be prepared to shed some tears as you read about the MC's past.
What Works Well
I really appreciated the strong character development. Both protagonists felt well-rounded and believable, with distinct personalities that drove the narrative forward.
