The setup is classic cannon fodder: wronged in a past life, reborn with a chance for vengeance. It's a familiar trope, but one that can be incredibly satisfying when done well.
What Works Well
I particularly enjoyed the dynamic between Lin Zhiyu and Xie You Zhou, the male lead. Several readers described him as a "wolfdog" type, and I can see why. He's fiercely devoted and undeniably powerful, and his unwavering support of the MC is a definite highlight. The romance, while slow-burn, does develop into something quite sweet. I appreciated the focus on both the characters' individual careers and their growing relationship. The revenge plot, while not solely executed by the MC, is ultimately fulfilling.
