Description
Surdo was the king of the Golden Wolf tribe, while Dyria was an enemy soldier. Their romance was supposed to be a one-time affair during the war. However, it became a major issue when Dyria became pregnant with the wolf’s child—Ash, whom he had been hiding in a remote village. After a very arduous search six years later, Dyria and Ash were forcibly taken to live in the palace of the Golden Wolf tribe. And there he met Yudha, the younger brother of the wolf who he had love with the night of the war.

My Thoughts on Hanare Gatai Kemono
Okay, let's dive into "Hanare Gatai Kemono." With its blend of adult themes, fantasy elements, and a healthy dose of tragedy, it certainly piqued my interest. After reading a bit about what others are saying, I've formed a pretty good initial impression.
First Impressions
From what I gather, the opening chapters are definitely strong. The prologue, a one-night stand with lasting consequences, seems to be a well-written and emotionally charged introduction. The story then jumps ahead six years, introducing us to Ash, a child raised by Dyria. It sounds like the bond between Dyria and Ash is a central point, portrayed as both loving and disciplined. The setup is intriguing and definitely pulls you in, leaving you wanting more.
What Works Well
The world-building and character dynamics seem to be major strengths. Dyria's stoic nature, his dedication to Ash, and his internal struggles resonate. The introduction of Yudha adds another layer to the plot, hinting at potential support and possibly romantic developments for Dyria down the line. I appreciate a story that takes its time to unfold, gradually revealing the complexities of its world and characters. The pacing in the early chapters seems well-managed, providing enough information to keep readers engaged without overwhelming them. I also think the author's ability to write a child character well is a major plus.
Areas of Concern
Honestly, based on the early chapters, it's hard to pinpoint any major flaws. Some might find the mature themes challenging, but they seem integral to the story's overall narrative. My only concern would be whether the author can maintain this level of quality throughout the entire novel, especially given the tragedy tag.
Final Verdict
So far, "Hanare Gatai Kemono" has the potential to be a truly captivating read. The engaging plot, compelling characters, and mature themes create a rich and immersive experience. I'm definitely curious to see where the story goes and how the relationships between Dyria, Ash, and Yudha evolve. If you're looking for a fantasy novel with depth, emotional resonance, and a touch of darkness, this might be right up your alley. I'm eager to continue reading and see if it lives up to its initial promise.
