The humor is definitely a highlight, with the MC's oblivious insults towards the ML providing consistent laughs.
First Impressions
Initially, I was charmed by the episodic nature of the arcs. Each case was unique and had a bittersweet touch that kept me engaged. The slow-burn romance between Song Ci and Rong Bai was also a definite plus, feeling natural and sweet. The world-building was interesting, and I especially enjoyed the supernatural atmosphere of ghosts, gods, and demons.

While the beginning was strong, the plot seemed to stumble in the later arcs. The pacing felt rushed, and some plot points were left unresolved, which left me feeling disappointed. The character development also seemed to take a turn, with both MC and ML undergoing personality shifts that felt jarring and out of character. The reliance on flashbacks to establish exposition also felt heavy-handed.
