As a guide, the bottom has a natural physical defect that prevents him from speaking. He’s transferred to the frontlines due to mission needs. He’s kind-hearted, has strong mental power, and helps guide the mental clouds of the frontline sentinels. When he was guiding the top, the top saw him as quiet and thought he was the type to blush when teased, so he tried some flirty lines. The bottom ignored him. The top, emboldened, kept talking even more provocatively. The bottom stopped the mental guidance. Though he couldn’t speak, the bottom had exceptionally strong mental power and broke through the top’s mental defenses, saying in the top’s mind: ‘Say one more word, I dare you.’ The top, with his foul-mouthed habit, replied: ‘How should I try? I wouldn’t mind trying it in bed.’ He even looked the bottom up and down, seemingly evaluating his face and body. Slapped in the face. My Thoughts on Clueless and Overthinker
"Clueless and Overthinker" promised a lighthearted romp, and for the most part, it delivered! This story, blending action, comedy, drama, and fantasy with a healthy dose of shounen ai, proved to be a surprisingly enjoyable read.
First Impressions
From the get-go, the premise intrigued me. The arranged marriage trope, combined with the "enemies become lovers" angle, is always a recipe for potential drama and humor. The added elements of a guideverse setting and characters with sharp tongues piqued my interest further. I dove in expecting a fun, if perhaps slightly predictable, journey.
What Works Well
The cuteness factor is undeniable. The bottom character is absolutely endearing, and his interactions with the top are consistently hilarious. I found myself genuinely invested in their relationship and rooting for them to overcome their initial animosity. The character growth throughout the story is also well-executed. Seeing both leads evolve and learn to understand each other was satisfying. The plot, while not overly complex, kept me engaged, and the pacing felt just right for a short story. The humor landed well for me, and I can definitely see why some readers might find themselves smiling uncontrollably while reading this in public!
Areas of Concern
While I thoroughly enjoyed the story, there were moments where I felt the top character's cluelessness bordered on frustrating. I occasionally wanted to shake him and yell, "Just get it already!" However, this frustration ultimately contributed to the comedic effect and made the eventual payoff even sweeter.

Overall, "Clueless and Overthinker" is a delightful and heartwarming read. If you're looking for a story with a healthy dose of humor, sweet romance, and engaging characters, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
