My Thoughts on Banished, 5 Days Later. There Is Only Value in Infamy if You Make Use of It
This web novel, "Banished, 5 Days Later. There Is Only Value in Infamy if You Make Use of It," presents a quick and satisfying read, especially if you're in the mood for a dose of revenge served with a side of romance. It's a classic villainess story flipped on its head, and I found myself thoroughly entertained by the protagonist's quick thinking and decisive actions.
First Impressions
From the get-go, the story grabs your attention. We're thrown into the aftermath of our female lead's banishment, and the European-esque setting adds a nice touch of familiar fantasy. The pacing is brisk, which is understandable given its oneshot nature, but it manages to pack a decent punch in a short amount of time.
What Works Well
The strongest aspect of this novel is definitely the protagonist's agency. I loved how she immediately takes control of her situation, faking her death to escape being used as a pawn. Her swift revenge against those who wronged her was incredibly satisfying to witness. The author does a great job of "showing, not telling," allowing readers to draw their own conclusions about the characters and their motivations. The ending is particularly well-done, leaving me with a sense of closure and contentment. The romance, while quick, felt believable within the context of her circumstances.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the story overall, the rapid development of the relationship did raise an eyebrow. The proposal after only five days felt a tad rushed. I also questioned the wisdom of the protagonist revealing her financial assets so early in the relationship. It introduces a slight doubt about the male lead's motivations, even if it's ultimately resolved.

Final Verdict
Despite a few minor pacing issues, "Banished, 5 Days Later" is a delightful read. It delivers on its promise of revenge, romance, and a satisfying ending. If you're looking for a quick, feel-good story with a strong female lead, I highly recommend giving this one a try. It's a solid 4 out of 5 stars from me.
