The core idea of the story is quite strong. The cultivation system, at least initially, felt consistent, and I appreciated the potential for growth and discovery. Some readers have praised the protagonist's character development, noting his shift from a more neutral stance to eventually embracing a chaotic good alignment. There's also the promise of a deeper mystery surrounding the system itself, which kept me intrigued for a while. I also enjoyed the unique personalities of the pets.

However, as I progressed, I found myself growing increasingly frustrated. The plot felt meandering, lacking a clear overarching goal. Several readers have pointed out the repetitive nature of the story: arrogant characters, face-slapping, and rinse and repeat. The power scaling also felt inconsistent, with pets seemingly able to overcome insurmountable odds simply because... well, because the plot demanded it.
