Description
By the time she realized it, university student Mari had fallen onto a battlefield. Looking around in confusion there was a large crowd of knights clad in western armor. The opening chapters are a whirlwind. We're thrown right into the thick of things with Mari, our female lead, waking up as a notorious evil queen in the middle of a rebellion. It's a bold move that sets the stage for a potentially captivating narrative. I found myself immediately invested in seeing how she would navigate this incredibly precarious situation.
What Works Well
Mari herself is a major draw. She's smart, resourceful, and possesses a certain courage that I found really admirable. The fact that she leverages her prior gaming experience to strategize and fight battles is a clever touch, adding a unique layer to her character. The story also manages to balance the seriousness of her predicament with moments of levity, preventing it from becoming overly dark or depressing. There's a promise of "sweet characters" and "fluffiness" that I'm eager to see explored further. The potential for this novel feels huge.

One concern that popped into my head while reading was the pacing of the plot. I do wonder if revealing too much about the "why" of her transmigration too early might diminish some of the suspense.
