The initial chapters drew me into Ruan Cha's world, and I was eager to see how she'd cope with her newfound circumstances and the system that nudged her along the way. The school setting felt familiar and relatable, even with the added fantastical elements.
What Works Well
Ruan Cha is definitely the star of the show. Her personality is a major draw, and I enjoyed how she treats people according to how they treat her. The way she gradually embraces her abilities and navigates the challenges thrown her way is compelling. The slow-burn romance with Fu Chen is also a highlight. It's sweet and wholesome, with Fu Chen being the ultimate loyal dog, patiently pursuing Ruan Cha. I appreciated that the adults handled the darker, more political aspects of the story, allowing the teenage characters to focus on their own growth and relationships.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the overall story, the later plot developments involving time travel, reincarnations, and advanced technology felt a bit overwhelming.
