"You're A Liar" caught my eye with its blend of fantasy, romance, and school life. The premise of a transmigration into modern times, coupled with a doting love interest, sounded like a recipe for a light and enjoyable read. I was definitely intrigued by the 'carefree protagonist' tag, hoping for a story that wouldn't take itself too seriously.

The novel seems to shine brightest in its portrayal of the relationship between Ling Song (MC) and Wen Yuanchu (ML). The dynamic of a reborn MC navigating modern life while being secretly adored by the ML is undeniably appealing. I love the idea of Wen Yuanchu, who was previously cold, transforming into a sweet and supportive boyfriend. The "mensao" aspect of the ML, keeping a mood diary filled with his feelings for the MC, adds a layer of depth and humor to his character. I really enjoy a good diary trope.
The "cute and fluffy" nature of the story is consistently mentioned, which definitely appeals to my love for heartwarming reads. The focus on Wen Yuanchu tutoring Ling Song, helping him adapt to his new reality and pursue his desires, speaks to a narrative centered around growth and support. The side characters are also noted as being pleasant, which is always a bonus.
