First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the female lead's situation. She's portrayed as a hard-working protagonist facing defamation, driven by her love for her mother. This setup immediately creates a sense of empathy and investment in her journey. The "cold love interest" trope is also something I can enjoy when done well, so I was curious to see how the relationship would unfold.
What Works Well
The male lead comes across as a reasonable person, which I appreciated. In stories with high drama, it's always refreshing to have a character who acts with some level of rationality. The female lead's resilience in the face of adversity is also commendable. Her determination to keep going, despite the obstacles thrown her way, is a strong point.
Areas of Concern
One aspect that gave me pause was the portrayal of the MC's son. Apparently, his behavior doesn't quite align with that of a typical five-year-old, which can detract from the overall reading experience. I also found the plot a bit too reliant on clichés. The "accidental" meeting between the leads felt contrived and predictable. Additionally, there's a character named Rouer who seems to operate outside the bounds of the law without facing consequences, which strained my suspension of disbelief.
