Initially, I was intrigued by the premise of a protagonist realizing he's a character in a novel. The futuristic setting and hints of arranged marriage also piqued my interest. I was ready for some good old-fashioned cannon fodder shenanigans.
What Works Well
I appreciated the initial concept of the MC grappling with the reality of being trapped in a book. The story explores the protagonist's reaction to this revelation, which I found fairly realistic. The system and world-building elements, while not always at the forefront, offered reasonable explanations for the unfolding events. Some readers found the initial dynamic between the leads captivating, describing it as a "playboy meets his match" scenario before the "book" element kicked in. I can see the appeal, and I think the author had some genuinely good ideas.
Areas of Concern
Unfortunately, the execution faltered for me in several key areas. The biggest issue seems to be the portrayal of the male lead and the dynamic between him and the MC.
