This web novel had me intrigued from the start with its unique premise of an MC navigating an otome game-like world without relying on prior knowledge, instead using her own intelligence. However, my experience ended up being a bit of a rollercoaster.

Initially, I was hooked by the idea of a protagonist who is essentially the "love rival" but without the baggage of reincarnation or past life memories. It felt like a refreshing take on the genre. I was eager to see how she would outsmart those around her using her own wits and build relationships with smart people to help her along the way.

What Works Well

The core concept of a clever and cautious protagonist, one who doesn't simply rely on game knowledge but instead on her own abilities, is definitely a strong point. I appreciated the potential for political intrigue and the focus on the MC's intelligence as her primary weapon. The idea of her being "OP" simply by being herself was appealing.

Unfortunately, the execution seems to be where the novel falters. Several readers mentioned issues with the writing style, particularly in the early chapters, describing it as confusing and difficult to read. This inconsistency in quality would definitely impact my enjoyment.
