Description
Su Huayi became the vicious adopted son with the same name in a novel about the struggle of the rich. He was adopted as a child into the Su family. He was beautiful but with a scorpion’s heart. He repeatedly persecuted his older brother and tried to take over the family business. Su Huayi transmigrated at a time when the original owner was up to his usual schemes. He crawled out from under his elder brother’s bed and looked up to meet the latter face-to-face. Su Chi’s expression was sullen: “What are you doing here?” Su Huayi shyly bowed his head: “… I wanted to give you a surprise.” * As the eldest son of the Su family, Su Chi not only managed the family business but also had to take care of his younger brothers. He was planning to give that malicious adopted brother some trouble, to let him know that the sea of bitterness has no end and that he should turn a new leaf… Su Huayi: It all depends on the waves. Su Chi: “…” To protect himself, Su Huayi acted coquettish to the point of no return, but he did not notice that the look in his elder brother’s eyes had gradually changed.

My Thoughts on Transmigrated As a Villain, I Rely on Sand Sculpture to Survive
"Transmigrated As a Villain, I Rely on Sand Sculpture to Survive" promised a comedic escape, and for the most part, it delivered. I went in expecting lighthearted fun, and that's largely what I got, though not without a few caveats. It's the kind of novel you pick up when you want something easy to digest, like a gourmet version of junk food.
First Impressions
Initially, I was charmed by the premise and the humor. The MC's antics and the ML's sarcastic comebacks had me laughing. It felt like a sitcom in novel form, with the focus on lighthearted dialogue and absurd situations. The initial chapters were engaging, setting up a fun dynamic between the characters and a unique family dynamic.
What Works Well
The strength of this novel lies in its comedic timing and the interactions between the MC and ML. Their banter is genuinely funny, a sort of back-and-forth that keeps the story moving. The family dynamics are also a highlight. The parents are supportive and hilarious, the second brother brings a touch of "left out" tsundere vibes, and the third brother acts as the observant wingman. It's a heartwarming and entertaining family unit. I found the gradual development of their relationship to be well-paced and believable, a slow burn that made the romance feel earned.
Areas of Concern
As the story progressed, I found myself agreeing with some of the criticisms. The MC's "sand sculpture" personality, while initially amusing, sometimes felt overdone, making him seem less clever and more frustratingly dense. Some readers may find it hard to reconcile his supposed past intelligence with his current behavior. The plot itself is pretty thin. While the slice-of-life elements are enjoyable, I craved more substance and a stronger narrative thread. Also, the ML's constant sarcasm, while initially funny, started to grate on me after a while.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Transmigrated As a Villain, I Rely on Sand Sculpture to Survive" is a fun, fluffy read that's perfect if you're looking for something lighthearted and comedic. While it may lack depth and the MC's antics can be a bit much at times, the entertaining banter and heartwarming family dynamics make it an enjoyable experience. Just be prepared to turn off your brain and enjoy the ride. I'd give it a solid 3.8/5 stars.
